Jake Platenik of Lee, New Hampshire won the iPad given away by Amerifirst at January’s International Builders Show and Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Orlando.
Platenik, who works for Universal Factory Direct, beat out thousands of people for the iPad at the three-day event that saw more than 90,000 attendees in the convention center – about 10,000 more than in 2017.
Participants visited booths of manufacturers and watched trade-related demonstrations. AmeriFirst encouraged traffic to their booth with an iPad giveaway for registered guests.
George DeMare, Vice President of Business Development, said that an iPad was the perfect prize to give away at this show.
“Folks in our industry are constantly using tablets and other handheld electronics to complete their projects, so we thought that this would be a useful as well as a fun prize,” DeMare said.
This is the second outing for the booth after a recent show in Nashville. The AmeriFirst team also donned their signature accessory: full logo hard hats.
DeMare said the hats were such a hit at the Nashville show, that they had to wear them again in the Sunshine State.
Team members Callie Schmid and Terri McDowell greeted prospective merchants and explained the advantages of an AmeriFirst partnership.
“It was great to meet new, potential partners and get them approved for more profitability in 2018, “ DeMare said. One of AmeriFirst’s goals at this show was to meet more people than at the recent Nashville event. This was accomplished thanks to so many attendees.
The International Builders Show brings building industry professionals from across the globe together to discover a variety of products and innovative concepts to enhance their business. KBIS, in conjunction with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), is an interactive platform showcasing the latest industry products, trends, and technologies. KBIS has been considered the voice of the kitchen and bath industry for more than 50 years.
DeMare and the rest of the team were so impressed with this show; they already have plans to represent AmeriFirst at the 2019 event in Las Vegas.
